Defibrillators

There are two defibrillators on the estate. One is situated by the showers in the marina office block and the other by the front door apartment block numbers 50-55.

Following cardiac arrest, two of the most important determinants of a successful resuscitation are starting bystander external cardiac massage (or CPR) promptly and restoring spontaneous circulation (usually via defibrillation). Therefore it is vital to know where the defibrillators are. If you are on your own, do not interrupt CPR. If possible send some else to collect the defibrillator; the 999 operator will give you an access code to retrieve the defibrillator.

Tree Survey

The Board commissioned an arborist to survey the trees on the estate, report on their condition and suggest appropriate action. Robert Rainford surveyed the estate’s 118 trees on 2/8/24. While none of the trees were in a dangerous condition, several were inappropriate for our maritime conditions; others had been planted too closely together or need their lower branches pruning. Selling your home

A leaseholder pre-sale enquiry pack can be purchased from Premier Estates to assist with the sale of their property. It contains information about the property, such as contact address for the freeholder, the service charge payable for the property, insurance, three years of accounts, Section 20 notices, and arrears and property dispute information. A full description of the pack’s contents is available as is what you need to do with regard to DQMC when selling your home.

Service Charges

The service charge is used to fund the common areas of the estate. It is paid in advance by homeowners so that DQMC in conjunction with Premier Estates can manage these areas. Descriptions of how the service charge is managed and how it is spent are available.
